Is there a way to have a smooth, lag and tear free experience on a non-gsync display?įor what it's worth, I've solved this problem with my monitor by buying a GSYNC display I'm trying to game on my TV and have a smooth 30/60fps experience like what you'd get from a console. Once all the ones you can remove are gone save the settings and your keyboard should work. Hover over the controller input and clear them 'T' should be the default for clearing them on the keyboard. What happens when I limit my FPS to 60 is that I end up getting less sort of random/scattered tearing and I typically end up getting one very distracting tear more towards the middle of the screen that follows as I look around in whatever game I'm playing. Yes going into the key bind sections for the controller and keyboard. This would be especially useful in games whose implementation of VSYNC introduces unplayable amounts of input lag (Dead Space). My understanding is that fast sync is supposed to drop any frames over 60 and limiting the framerate negates any sort of frame pacing issues. The problem is, enabling fast sync in the control panel and locking the frame rate does not eliminate tearing. I want to be able to disable GSYNC and use fast-sync or lock my frame rate to 60FPS using RTSS or some other tool. WIth my current hardware (1080 Ti) I often have frame rates well in excess of 60FPS in 4K, especially on older or well optimized games (GTA5, Doom).
